Latent-image edge numbers on the wrong edge of the film can be printed for an additional $.02 per foot.

Clean & Prep would only be charged to a client bringing in film processed elsewhere and being prepped for transfer at another facility. This service is included in the processing rate.

Fades and dissolves can be ordered without extra charge on all contact prints except workprints, where such effects are feasible. Fade and dissolve lengths of 16, 24, 32, 48, 64 and 96 frames can be intermixed in any sequence. Scene-to-scene light and color corrections are included in the answer print price. Where possible by the nature of the work load, a critical deadline will be met without extra charges. However, when work must be performed on an expedited basis, there will be a charge of $50 or 25% of the invoice, whichever is greater.

Any work necessary to prepare films for printing, such as take selection, affixing proper leaders, repairing bad splices, correcting editing mistakes, re-cueing to prepare prints or another emulsion position, etc., will be charged at $65 per hour.

Wet submersion contact and optical process to correct imperfections in the original negative. The lab can't guarantee that the imperfections will be completely resolved in the liquid gate printing process.

Alpha Cine can provide loop printing of short films where more than 10 prints are ordered. There will be a $10.00 per picture and $10.00 per sound roll setup charge, with footage billed at the least quantity price, with no minimum or short-roll charges.

When required to use intermediates, optical tracks and other items made by another laboratory, Alpha Cine reserves the right to charge $65.00 per hour for tests in addition to regular prices.

$5.00 per printing roll per section setup charge, with a 100' minimum charge per section in single-roll printing and 200' minimum charge per section in multiple roll printing, at regular rates without quantity discount, plus applicable short-roll charges. Ultrasonic cleaning and printer run-through charge of $0.025 per foot (1,000' minimum) in contact printing.

Our screening room features both 35mm and 16mm projection and interlock screening using fullcoat or three stripe mag. Picture screening is $65/hr and interlock screening is $75 per hour. There is a half hour minimum.

1/4" or DAT to 16mm fullcoat or 35mm edit stripe is available at $45/hr. There is a half hour minimum and sound stock is not included in the hourly rate.

When the customer specifies that release prints are to be splice-free, a 10% surcharge will be made. Alpha Cine reserves the right to supply answer and release prints with splices when conditions so dictate.

Material submitted for printing or other operations must bear clear and properly labeled sync marks. Any sync error due to unclear or improperly labeled sync marks shall be the responsibility of the customer.

This service is normally included in the cost of printing; however, if you bring in prints that you would like cleaned prior to a new screening, the charge is $.025/ft. There is a 500' minimum.

Vault storage of elements is at the customer's sole risk. Alpha Cine does not assume any liability for materials stored. Storage for active printing materials is provided by Alpha Cine for six months. All out-takes, work prints or other unused footage must be removed by the customer within ninety days of finishing the answer or release print. Materials stored after six months (ninety days for out-takes, workprints or other unused footage) will be charged $1.25 per can (element) per month, subject to a $5.00 minimum. Non-active materials that are stored over one year without paying storage fees will be discarded.

Films requiring a significant number of zero cut operations will be subject to a surcharge of $0.02 per foot on the answer print or other first printing.
