Fred Pack is the manager of Alpha's optical department. He received his early training in Optical Effects work in Toronto with Film Opticals of Canada. In 1973 he moved to Chicago where he co founded Visual Effects, which became a leading optical company in the Midwest. In 1987 Fred joined the Alpha Cine Optical department. The department is well know for the quality of 16 to 35mm blow ups.

In his free time Fred paints landscapes and plays competitive tennis in the U.S.T.A. league.
